世界禁煙デーについて
世界禁煙デー(World No Smoking Day)とは、世界喫煙者に禁煙を呼びかけ、各国政府、自治体、個人に喫煙もたらす健康被害の認識を深めるための国際記念日です。
WHO(世界保健機構)が設立40周年の1988年に決議され、1989年には5月31日を世界禁煙デーと決議されました。日本では厚生労働省が1992年より5月31日から6月6日までの一週間を禁煙週間としています。
